Richlands will look to defend their home turf on Friday against South Lenoir at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
Richlands had enough points to win and then some against Swansboro last Friday, taking their game 27-7. No one had a better game by the numbers than junior Caleb Blankenship, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 140 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, South Lenoir received a tough blow as they fell 6-21 to North Duplin.
Richlands's win lifted them to 1-2 while South Lenoir's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. The Richlands defense had it out for the quarterback last game and accrued 4 sacks, so hopefully South Lenoir's offensive line has put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
