Allen (Texas) received a huge boost from its defense against Round Rock Westwood (Austin, Texas), as the unit scored 12 in defeating Round Rock Westwood (Austin, Texas), 56-24.
The Eagles were up 42-10 at the half after taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter.
Allen expanded its lead to 46 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by
Kyler Murray to
Cole Carter.
The loss snapped the Warriors' 5-game winning streak.
The Eagles' most effective player was Murray. The sophomore quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for two touchdowns.
Colin McGuire made a difference for Round Rock Westwood. The senior threw two touchdowns and kicked three extra points.
RRW came in allowing just 14.3 points per game this season.
The loss comes after Round Rock Westwood defeated The Woodlands 34-26 last week.
