Video: Matayo Uiagalelei highlightsEighth-grade brother of top junior quarterback earns Oregon offer.Even the ball boy for No. 1-ranked
St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) has a FBS offer.
Matayo Uiagalelei is only in eighth-grade and snagged an offer from Oregon on Wednesday evening.
It was a dream offer.
"Matayo has been a Ducks fan since he was born," Matayo's father Dave Uiagalelei said. "He was wearing his Marcus Mariota jersey when he got the news. His whole room is done up in Oregon posters."
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defensive end is the younger brother of superstar
D.J. Uiagalelei, the nation's top-rated quarterback from the Class of 2020.
Matayo plays both ways for Winner Circle Academy in Corona. He dwarfs the competition and showcases his athleticism and agility in the video above.
In addition to defensive end, Matayo lines up at tight end, wide receiver and offensive tackle. He's also a pitcher in baseball like his older brother — and apparently has some power at the plate.
Dave Uiagalelei said Matayo will be attending St. John Bosco next season. Until then, he will continue taking the field with the Braves as the team's ball boy.
