Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were able to grind out a solid win over North Lincoln, winning 34-27.
Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy got off to a sluggish start, posting 6 total points in the first half. That left them at a 6-13 disadvantage. The offense took control in the second half,however, scoring 28 points.
No one had a larger role in the success than senior Nomi Mcmullens, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 59 yards and 3 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy a 1-0 record and starting North Lincoln off at 0-1.
