Taylore Fuller hit .778 for Chiefland (Fla.) this spring. Insanely good numbers like that earned the Florida commit the MaxPreps 2012 Small Schools Player of the Year.

The Gainesville Record put it quite simply when describing Chiefland's Taylore Fuller, the publication's three-time all-area player of the year: "One of the area's best players ever."
Heady words for a player who comes from one of the smaller schools in the Gainesville area. Nevertheless, it is an accurate description of one of the nation's most feared hitters. Headed to University of Florida, Fuller batted an astounding .778 on the season with 14 home runs, 33 RBI and 52 runs scored.
Her home run total might have been much higher if not for the 67 walks Fuller drew this year. In fact, opposing pitchers simply stopped pitching to her the second half of the season as she was intentionally walked 30 times.
Fuller is also the only small school player to land on the MaxPreps All-American First Team, thus making her the MaxPreps Small Schools Player of the Year.
Fuller heads a group of 60 players, 30 on the first team and 30 on the second team, who played at schools with enrollments under 1,000.
