If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Blaine. On Friday they take on Totino-Grace at 7:00 PM. Blaine don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Blaine might be getting used to good results now that the team have six wins in a row. They took their game against Centennial last Friday 22-13. Senior Jack Haring, who accumulated 302 passing yards and punched in 1 rushing TD, was a major factor in Blaine's success. If you haven't heard Haring's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past six games.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Totino-Grace, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They put the hurt on Osseo with a sharp 28-0 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Totino-Grace had established a 28-0 advantage.
Their wins bumped Totino-Grace to 2-4 and Blaine to 6-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Check back in with MaxPreps after the game is over for details.
