Jose Trevino slammed his 25th home run Saturday to tie the Texas single-season record during a five-inning, 18-0 rout of Concordia Lutheran (Tomball, Texas) in the first round of the Class 4A TAPPS state baseball playoffs.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder, who is an Oral Roberts University recruit, also pitched a perfect game, striking out 13 of the 15 batters he faced. It marked his second perfect game this spring as he raised his record to 6-0.
