Dunk sensation Francesca Belibi commits to Stanford women's basketball

Top 50 recruit will play for head coach Tara VanDerveer at Stanford.

Francesca Belibi of Regis Jesuit (Aurora, Colo.) first garnered national attention a little over a year ago when she pulled off an in-game dunk while just 15-years old.

She made headlines again Monday by making a verbal commitment to women's basketball powerhouse Stanford.

Belibi is regarded as a Top 50 recruit in the Class of 2019 by HoopGurlz. The 6-foot-1 forward averaged 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game as a junior at Regis Jesuit, helping the Raiders go 24-4 and reach the Class 5A state championship game.
