The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Thursday Northern Burlington takes on Colts Neck in the first playoff game of the year. Colts Neck will be looking to take advantage of a struggling Northern Burlington defense that has allowed an average of 28 points per game.

As for Colts Neck, it is still under.500 but has been making strides to fix that in its last two games. It claimed a 42 - 28 victory over Neptune last week. With three TDs, senior Joey Mauriello was a significant factor in the success. This also marked the 3rd consecutive game in which Mauriello rushed for 100+ yards.
Northern Burlington's defeat dropped it to 3-5 while Colts Neck's win brought it to 2-7. We'll find out on Thursday if Northern Burlington can steal Colts Neck's luck or if Colts Neck records another victory instead.
