After a disappointing 6 points in their last contest, St. Luke's made sure to put some points up on the board against Long Island Lutheran on Saturday. St. Luke's blew past Long Island Lutheran 35-13. That result was just more of the same for St. Luke's, who also won the last time these teams played.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the St. Luke's offense stepped up its game and put 14 points on the board in the second quarter. Meanwhile, Long Island Lutheran couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 14-0 heading into the break. St. Luke's put the matchup away in the third quarter with 21 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 3-1. Long Island Lutheran are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
St. Luke's will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Wyoming Seminary College Prep. Long Island Lutheran will stay at home against Tenafly at 2:30 PM.
