Fairfax (Va.) saw its 14-point lead shrink to seven, but hung on to beat
Woodson (Fairfax, Va.) 14-7 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by
Nick Scott in the second quarter, the Rebels was up 7-0 at the half.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at seven entering the fourth.
The Cavaliers' only touchdown came on a 33-yard pass in the third quarter.
Woodson (0-1) goes up against Robinson in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Fairfax (1-0) locks horns with West Potomac also in a non-conference game.
