Johnathan Gray broke the Texas state record for most rushing touchdowns in a season by notching his 59th score in
Aledo's (Texas) 69-34 victory over
La Marque (Texas) in the Texas 4A-II final at Cowboys Stadium.
Gray has quickly become a modern-day
Texas legend.

The explosive Gray rushed for 325 yards and a whopping eight touchdowns in leading Aledo to a second-straight state title. Gray broke the old mark of 57 touchdowns held by Texas legend Kenneth Hall.
The matchup was billed as a showdown between two of the state's top underclassmen in Gray and La Marque running back
Tim Wright.
However, Gray clearly stole the show, delivering one of the finest championship-game performances in state history.
Gray, the reigning
MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year, is making strong claims to be the 2010 National Junior of the Year. He's improved from his sterling 2009 performance which saw him rush for 45 touchdowns and 2,670 yards.
In addition to this 59 touchdowns this season, he also topped the 3,000-yard mark, totaling 3,223 rushing yards.
With the victory, Aledo now owns a 29-game winning streak, tied for 15th-longest in the country.
