With the college announcement of the nation's No. 1 quarterback,
Gunner Kiel, expected any day, Notre Dame is exploring other options at quarterback.

The Fighting Irish, who are
still in the running for Kiel, are now recruiting
Northern Valley (Old Tappan, N.J.) star
Devin Fuller as a quarterback, according to Fuller's father, Bart.
If Kiel, a pro-style quarterback, commits to LSU or Vanderbilt, Notre Dame may recruit Fuller more aggressively, even though Fuller is more of a dual-threat signal caller.
Fuller, one of the nation's premier athletes, can play a number of positions at the next level. Until recently, Notre Dame was not in the running for Fuller because Brian Kelly and staff were recruiting him as a defensive back.
Nebraska, TCU and Rutgers are among the schools that continue to pursue Fuller, who will likely make a decision in late January or on National Signing Day.
As a senior, Fuller completed 127 of 195 passes for 2,247 yards and 20 scores, while rushing for 1,326 yards and an additional 17 touchdowns.
He was a
U.S. Air Force Junior All-American and is ranked as the nation's
No. 26 recruit.
