Lynwood and Gahr meet up on Friday this week after opposite experiences in their previous matchups. Lynwood was crushed by Warren 41 - 20 last week. As for Gahr, it didn't have too much trouble with Dominguez in its last game, where Gahr won 24 - 8.
Lynwood's game was close at the break (21 - 14), but Warren took charge in the second half. Senior Leonard Williams didn't go down without a fight, though. He put up some defensive resistance with 22 tackles. The defeat dropped Lynwood's record to 3-3.
In its game, Gahr got an early lead and never looked back, outscoring Dominguez in every quarter en route to its victory. Junior Micah Bernard was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he ran for 106 yards and also punched in one touchdown). The victory bumped Gahr's record up to 5-1.
Gahr is looking to hand Lynwood its first back-to-back losses of the season. We'll find out if Lynwood can avoid giving it that satisfaction.
