The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lampasas, who defeated 265th ranked Brownwood, 61-56.
The Badgers moved up to 541 from 661 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region I District 8. Lampasas was able to move up by besting the Lions 61-56.
Will Fromme was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 72 yards on 13 carries as Liberty Hill fell to Liberty Hill. Cory Ferrell also contributed to the rushing game with 67 yards on the ground.
The Bulldogs' Derek Kiser and Jones have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Kiser has thrown for 2,017 yards this season, while Jones has 40 catches for 699 yards. The Panthers' Nick Barrios leads the league in rushing yards with 768.
A big matchup in 3A Region I District 8 this week will be when Burnet takes on Llano. Kurt Jones' team is in second place, while the Yellowjackets are in third place.
Liberty Hill extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Bulldogs, 14-7. The win marks seventh in a row for the Jerry Vance's team.
