Salpointe Catholic had things more or less wrapped up by halftime last week having put itself ahead 35 - 0. No one had a larger role in the success than sophomore Bijan Robinson, who brought his A game into the contest. He earned two touchdowns and 120 yards rushing the ball. Junior Mario Padilla banked an additional two TDs for the team. The win bumped Salpointe Catholic's record up to 10-1.
In its game, Cactus got an early lead and never looked back, outscoring Moon Valley in every quarter en route to its victory. At 63 points, that marked Cactus's largest margin of victory so far this year. The win got it up to 9-2.
Both Cactus and Salpointe Catholic are bound to feel confident after their prior matchups, but one team's ego will take a hit. We'll find out which one when the teams meet up this week.
