Gateway - South recap November 5, 2013
Howell led Gateway - South in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Troy-Buchanan.
Fort Zumwalt West made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,454 from 2,075. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 37-0 victory over Timberland last week.
The T-Wolves' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Andrew Jehle threw for 22 yards and Brendan Rowe had 22 yards receiving. On the ground Deion Smith contributed 40 yards.
Smith was a passing and rushing force as Timberland lost to the Jaguars. Smith's key target this week was Rowe, who caught 2 passes for 22 yards.
Jehle put up the best numbers in passing as Ed Gilreath's team lost to Fort Zumwalt West.
Timberland's offense cannot be tamed this season and the T-Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jehle has thrown for 268 yards this season, while Rowe has 4 catches for 57 yards.
As it stands, the Vikings are in first, while Neil Nowack's team is in third.
The Jaguars featured an ironclad defense this week, and led the league in points allowed with 0.
