The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mountainburg, who took down 185th ranked Hackett, 38-7. Josh Skattebo threw for 93 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 77 yards during the win.
Hector added to the longest winning streak in 2A Region 4 this week by beating Union Christian Academy, 46-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Wildcats.
The Dragons' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Clayton Stephenson chipped in 159 yards.
Mountainburg's dynamic duo of Skattebo and Robert Nolen proved tough for the Hornets to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Trey Allen was a key player and the best on defense this week as Tom Harrell's team beat Hackett. The 6-foot-2 senior grabbed 1 interception and forced 1 fumble.
The Eagles' Braxton Smith and Will Callaway led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback Smith has thrown for 1,556 yards this season, while Callaway has 42 catches for 557 yards. Gus Nichols from Hector leads the league in rushing with 805 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when West Side takes on Leftwich. As it stands, the Rebels are in fourth, while the Rattlers are in second.
Leftwich took down Hartford 39-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
