The Florida Times-Union reported today that Corky Rogers became the eighth high school football coach to notch 400 victories when
Bolles (Jacksonville, Fla.) defeated American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.), 28-17, on the road.
Rogers has guided the Bulldogs to nine state titles and several of his teams have been ranked nationally.
The highly successful coach
told the newspaper, "I really don't think about things like that. I'm glad for our team and for our program and the coaches that have been with me for all these years. It's gone by pretty quick. I don't feel like it's been as long as it has."
Milton Revell scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to their second victory this year.

The victory may have been costly, however, because starting quarterback Austin Kennedy suffered a knee injury in the fourth quarter and sat out the rest of the game.
* Meanwhile,
Seventy-First (Fayetteville, N.C.) coach Robert Paroli, who started the season with 399 victories, watched his record slip to 0-4 this year following a tough 9-8 loss to
Lumberton (N.C.) on a 35-yard field goal by
Conner Haskins in the fourth quarter.
