West Lincoln fell to Bassfield 69-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bryce Temple was a bright spot for the Bears, as he ran for 10 yards and caught 2 passes for 26 yards in the defeat.
The Yellowjackets' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Calvin Moore threw for 63 and 1 touchdown and Trodrick Daniels had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Moore chipped in 64 yards. Kameron Williams helped Bassfield's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 26 yards.
Moore put up the best numbers through the air as Bassfield defeated West Lincoln.
Leading 2A Region 7 in both passing and receiving yards, Lance Mancuso's team's Moore and Williams have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Moore has thrown for 458 yards this season, while Williams has 12 catches for 187 yards. East Marion's Jaylin Akins leads the league in rushing yards with 609.
The Eagles are in first place, while Loyd Star is in fifth place.
The Yellowjackets led the league in scoring this week by notching 69 points on Willie Brumfield's team. Moore ran for 64 yards in the win.
