Junior Moises Aracena and junior Michael Kern were the main playmakers for Lake Nona as Aracena ran for 134 yards and also punched in one touchdown and Kern tossed the ball for 222 yards and three TDs.
The defeat brought East River down to 6-2. The win bumped Lake Nona's record up to 6-1. The team now has six consecutive wins under its belt.
Both teams are aiming to improve upon those records in their upcoming games. East River will battle it out against St. Cloud on Thursday at 7:00 PM. East River has now seen its scores steadily decline over the past three games, a trend the team needs to reverse pronto to avoid another defeat.
