LAKE ZURICH, Ill. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter,
Lake Zurich (Ill.) held on for a 21-10 victory over
Lake Forest (Ill.) on Saturday. The difference for the Bears was that they ran for a touchdown.
After nabbing the lead on a
Regis Durbin touchdown run, the Scouts went into halftime with a 10-7 lead. The Bears took the lead for good with a touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Lake Zurich still trailed by three points going into the fourth quarter. But 14 points in the fourth helped LZ pull out the victory.
The loss snapped Lake Forest's four-game winning streak.
Lake Forest's only touchdown came on a 9-yard run by Durbin in the first quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 16-6 win for the Bears.
The loss comes after Lake Forest defeated Round Lake 49-0 last week.
