MaxPreps and DonJoy have teamed up to honor the best high school football players in the nation coming into the 2016 season. They come from many different schools and many different states - but they all are immense talents.

There are projections and there is production.

Here are 21 of the nation’s top recruits, who also happen to be extremely productive for some of the nation’s top teams. They make up the MaxPreps Preseason Offensive Large Schools All-Americans presented by DonJoy Performance.

The group is led by four very productive quarterbacks who accounted for more than 16,500 yards last season and 190 touchdowns.

Of the 21 honorees, only 11 have thus far committed to colleges, with three pledges going to Ohio State and two to LSU. Interestingly, none of the five wide receiver all-Americans have committed. All of them are seniors, though that was not part of the selection criteria.

States represented from this group: California (4), Texas (3), Florida (2), Nevada (2), Georgia (2) and Michigan, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Colorado, Virginia and Mississippi, all with one.

WR - Donovan Peoples-Jones, 6-2, 190, Cass Tech (Detroit)
The nation’s No. 6 senior recruit is ultra talented and competitive. “"He does whatever it takes to be great,” said his coach Thomas Wilcher. “His grades. His workouts. His attitude. He sets the tone." And he's uncommitted.

WR - Tyjon Lindsey, 5-8, 180, Centennial (Corona, Calif.)
An explosive game-breaker who transferred from Bishop Gorman, the uncommitted Lindsey grabbed 79 catches for 2,001 yards and 29 touchdowns over the last two seasons.

WR - Trevon Grimes, 6-3, 202, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
The nation’s No. 29 recruit should put up big numbers for the nation’s No. 1 team after hauling in touchdown passes once every four receptions last year. He's also uncommitted.

WR - Tee Higgins, 6-5, 190, Oak Ridge (Tenn.)
There’s just about no throw the nation’s No. 15 recruit can’t reach, as he proved last year while hauling in 16 touchdowns among 46 receptions. Higgins committed to Clemson on July 4.

WR - Jhamon Ausbon, 6-3, 217, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.)
With one of the nation’s top quarterbacks in Kellen Mond making him the No. 1 target, Ausbon (committed to LSU) should put up huge numbers for the nation’s No. 4 team.

TE - Colby Parkinson, 6-7, 230, Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.)
Look for the nation’s No. 1 recruit at his position to at least double his junior statistics of 24 catches, 489 yards and four touchdowns. Parkinson has given his commitment to Stanford.

OL - Josh Myers, 6-6, 306, Miamisburg (Ohio)
The MaxPreps junior all-American is the nation’s No. 4 recruit overall, and Ohio State has his commitment in hand.

OL - Wyatt Davis, 6-5, 310, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)
Bosco coach Jason Negro said of the country’s No. 14 overall recruit: “A nasty finisher. Never misses a weight room workout. Someone is going to get the complete package with Wyatt Davis.” That lucky college is Ohio State.
OL - C.J. Thorpe, 6-4, 300, Central Catholic (Pittsburgh)
The nation’s 12th-ranked guard leads the nation’s No. 15 team. His coach Terry Totten said: “He's got great size, he's aggressive and he's a finisher.” He's committed to Penn State.

OL - Foster Sarell, 6-7, 311, Graham-Kapowsin (Graham, Wash.)
The Most Valuable Offensive Linemen at The Opening, the nation's No. 9 recruit overall is considered one of the most complete and polished players at any position in the country. The guard or tackle has yet to pick his college but nearby Washington is a good bet.

OL - Edward Ingram, 6-3, 315, DeSoto (Texas)
Ingram leads a big, physical offensive line for an offense that likely will average more than 400 yards per game and a team that enters the season No. 8 in the country. Ingram has given his commitment to LSU.

QB - Dylan McCaffrey, 6-5, 215, Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, Colo.)
The No. 22 recruit overall and Michigan commit is a National Player of the Year favorite after accounting for 3,392 yards and 40 touchdowns for a team ranked 25th in the country to start the season.

QB - Tate Martell, 6-0, 200, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)
The dynamic dual-threat quarterback is lethal out of the pocket, but does just as fine in it, as proven by his two-year statistics for the Gaels: 257 of 437 passes for 5,146 yards, 72 touchdowns with eight interceptions and a 30-0 record. He’s also rushed for 1,037 yards and 14 scores. His talents are committed to Ohio State.

QB - Jake Fromm, 6-3, 225, Houston County (Warner Robins, Ga.)
The nation’s No. 41 recruit overall (committed to Georgia) threw for 4,099 yards, 36 touchdowns and six interceptions as the Bears finished 11-2 last season.

QB - Sam Ehlinger, 6-1, 215, Westlake (Austin, Texas)
Compared at the same juncture to another Westlake quarterback in Drew Brees, the nation’s No. 6 dual-threat quarterback accounted for 5,193 yards and 70 touchdowns for the state 6A finalists. Unlike Brees, he is committed to Texas.

RB - Najee Harris, 6-2, 220, Antioch (Calif.)
The nation’s No. 1 overall recruit rushed over, through and around defenders en route to 2,744 yards on 243 carries and 36 touchdowns. He also caught three scores and powered in 33 2-point conversions for the 11-1 Panthers. He is committed to Alabama.

RB - Biaggio Walsh, 5-11, 190, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)
The grandson of Muhammad Ali is a fleet back who rushed 203 times last year for 2,451 yards and 33 touchdowns. Those yards should increase for the nation’s No. 3 team.

RB - Khalan Laborn, 5-10, 200, Bishop Sullivan Catholic (Virginia Beach, Va.)
Playing last year at Ocean Lakes, the uncommitted speedy back ran 206 times for 2,228 yards and 32 touchdowns for his 12-1 team.

RB - Kennedy Brooks, 6-0, 200, Mansfield (Texas)
The nation’s No. 18-ranked running back was a workhorse last year, recording 3,522 rushing yards (235 per game) and 42 scores while leading Mansfield to the 6A semifinals. He is uncommitted.
RB - Cam Akers, 6-0, 212, Clinton (Miss.)
The nation’s No. 16 recruit overall, Akers filled in nicely at quarterback too last season for the 8-5 Arrows, throwing for 2,331 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushing for 1,418 yards and 16 more touchdowns. He has not announced his college commitment.

K - Brenton King, 6-0, 165, Mill Creek (Hoschton, Ga.)
The MaxPreps junior all-American was a major weapon for 13-1 Mill Creek by converting 19 of 24 field goal attempts and 60 of 61 extra points for a total of 117 points. He has not made a college commitment.
