They may only be entering their junior year of high school, but many future top recruits in the class of 2013 have already made their mark on the football field and the recruiting world.
Robert Nkemdiche had a monstrous sophomore season.
No player has made a bigger splash thus far than
Grayson (Loganville, Ga.)
defensive lineman
Robert Nkemdiche
.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Nkemdiche has the power and frame to play tackle but the athleticism and explosiveness to line up at defensive end or even outside linebacker.
As a first-year starter in 2010, Nkemdiche exploded onto the scene with 18 sacks, helping Grayson to 10-4 record. After the season, he received AAAAA all-state honors and was also named a
U.S. Air Force Sophomore All-American
by MaxPreps.
Nkemdiche is the early favorite to be ranked No. 1 when MaxPreps releases its 2013 Top 100 in the spring.
Reuben Foster
,
Tray Matthews
and
Jonathan McCrary
are a few of the other top recruits who have emerged from Georgia in what appears to be an outstanding year for high-end talent in the Peach State.
Nkemdiche's recruitment is still in its early stages. However, Ole Miss, which landed his older brother and 2011 recruit Denzel, could have an inside track.
