Jake Browning tossed a 1-yard touchdown pass to
Jake Jeffrey late in the fourth quarter of
Folsom's 55-7 win over Tracy in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I final, and it might have been the shortest pass in his career.

But it was also, perhaps, the biggest.
The touchdown pass was the sixth of the game for Browning and it was the 220th touchdown pass of his career, breaking the national record of 219 set by Maty Mauk of Kenton (Ohio) between 2008-11.
The remarkable part of Browning's record is that he accomplished the feat in just three seasons, compared with four for Mauk. Browning had 63 touchdown passes as a sophomore, 75 as a junior and he now has 82 for his senior season.
Browning becomes just the second quarterback in national history to throw over 80 touchdowns in a season. Corey Robinson of Lone Oak (Paducah, Ky.) holds the record with 91 in 2007.
Browning tied the record with a 14-yard pass to Josiah Deguara with one minute left in the third quarter.
With the win, Folsom (14-0) will await the decision of the bowl committee to see where it will play next. The Bulldogs could be invited to play in the Open Division Bowl Game in two weeks in Carson or they could be chosen to play in a Division I NorCal Regional Game next week.
With possibly two more games, Browning has a chance to break Robinson's single season mark of 91 touchdown passes.
