The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Santa Fe takes on Gahr in the first playoff game of the year. Santa Fe is currently on a five-game winning streak and looking to extend its dominance.
Santa Fe has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling four) after its most recent game. It put the hurt on Pioneer last week with a conclusive 42 - 3 victory. Santa Fe brought some defensive heat, getting to the quarterback for four sacks.
As for Gahr, it is still above.500 but has been slipping the past two games. It received a tough blow last week as it fell 50 - 31 to Downey. No one was more disappointed by the defeat than junior Micah Bernard, who put up a significant resistance with four TDs. This also marked the 6th consecutive game in which Bernard rushed for 100+ yards.
