Three teams ranked No. 1 in their respective divisions were eliminated from participation in the inaugural California Regional Bowl Games, which will get underway next week.
St. John Bosco (South Division I), Paradise (North Division II) and Bishop Diego (South Division IV) all lost their playoff games last week and no longer qualify for the postseason. As a result, Narbonne, Clayton Valley and Ontario Christian have risen to the No. 1 spots in those respective divisions.
The selection of the participants in the regional football playoffs will take place Sunday following the completion of the section playoffs. The Northern, San Francisco and Oakland sections have completed their seasons and smaller schools in other sections have also wrapped up.
The remaining seven sections will crown their champions this weekend.
Teams in bold have won their section titles.

California Bowl Game Rankings
South Division I
Narbonne's Los Angeles City Section title was the end of the road last season. This season, it could lead to an Open Division berth in the Regional Bowl Games.

1. (2 last week)
Narbonne (Harbor City), 13-0, 69.5, LAS D-I
2. (3)
Vista Murrieta (Murrieta), 13-0, 69.3, SS Inland
3. (4)
Mater Dei (Santa Ana), 11-2, 68.7, SS Pac-5
4. (6)
Centennial (Corona), 12-1, 65.0, SS Inland
5. (7)
Long Beach Poly, 10-3, 63.0, SS Pac-5
6. (9)
Clovis North (Fresno), 11-1, 54.8, CS D-I
7. (NR)
Crenshaw (Los Angeles), 12-1, 54.6, LAS D-I
8. (NR)
Mission Hills (San Marcos), 9-2, 52.0, SD D-I
9. (NR)
Central (Fresno), 11-2, 49.8, CS D-I
10. (NR)
Eastlake (Chula Vista), 8-3, 42.9, SD D-I
Notes: It's looking more and more like Narbonne and Vista Murrieta will be the two teams to vie for the Open Division Regional Bowl in the South. A win for both teams next week would pit two 14-0 teams in the regional playoff. That would leave the Pac-5 champion taking on, most likely, the Central Section champion in the Division I regional.
North Division I
De La Salle celebrated an Open Division state title last season and looks to have the chance again this season.

De La Salle (Concord), 12-0, 62.3, NCS D-I
2. (2)
Folsom, 13-0, 56.6, SJS D-II
3. (9)
Logan (Union City), 12-1, 53.5, NCS D-I
4. (5)
Granite Bay, 10-3, 52.3, SJS D-I
5. (7)
Bellarmine (San Jose), 11-1, 49.3, CCS Open
6. (10)
Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills), 12-1, 48.2, SJS D-I
7. (8)
Elk Grove, 12-1, 46.0, SJS D-II
8. (NR)
St. Ignatius (San Francisco), 9-3, 43.1 CCS Open
Notes: With no more unbeaten teams in Division I in the Sac-Joaquin Section, look for Folsom to receive the North Open Regional bid opposite De La Salle, should both teams win this week. The Central Coast Section Open champion and the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I winner will likely vie for the Division I North Regional.
South Division II
Serra and Chaminade will meet for the Western Division title, and the winner is likely to go to a Regional Bowl Game. These teams battled already this season with Chaminade winning 28-20.

Chaminade (West Hills), 12-1, 59.4, SS Western
2. (2)

3. (3)

4. (4)

5. (7)
Poway, 10-2, 53.1, SDS D-II
6. (8)
Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates), 10-3, 52.1, SS Northern
7. (NR)
Villa Park, 12-1, 49.5, SS Southwest
8. (NR)
Citrus Hill (Perris), 13-0, 47.0, SS Eastern
9. (NR)
La Serna (Whittier), 12-1, 43.6, SS Southeast
10. (NR)
Serrano (Phelan), 13-0, 43.0, SS Eastern
Notes: The winner of the Chaminade-Serra game in the Southern Section Western Division championship game should get one of the regional bids. Tustin's loss takes a bit of the luster off the Southwest Division championship, but the Edison-Villa Park winner could get the other bid. We're guessing, however, that Oceanside gets the bid if it wins. If Poway wins, go with the Edison-Villa Park winner.
North Division II
Clayton Valley is one of the teams in NorCal Bowl Division II in the mix. It's one of the more muddled situations overall.

7. (NR)
Los Gatos, 8-4, 28.5, CCS D-II
8. (NR)
Milpitas, 9-3, 24.6, CCS D-I
9. (NR)
San Benito (Hollister), 6-5, 12.6 CCS D-I
10. (NR) Lincoln (San Francisco), 10-1, 2.8, SF championNotes: Enterprise is the clubhouse champion, defeating Paradise for the Northern Section Division I championship and holding down a No. 2 spot in this week's rankings. However, Enterprise has three losses. The guess here is that the committee will have a hard time denying a one-loss or zero-loss champion from the North Coast Section (Clayton Valley or Rancho Cotate) or a one-loss champion from the Sac-Joaquin Section (either Oakdale or Vista del Lago).
South Division III
JoJo Hudson and St. Augustine will face Madison for an almost-certain Regional Bowl Games bid.

St. Augustine (San Diego), 11-1, 42.1, SDS D-IV
2. (2)
Madison (San Diego), 11-1, 36.1, SDS D-IV
3. (4)
Wasco, 12-0, 35.6, CS D-IV
4. (6)
Paraclete (Lancaster), 12-1, 32.4, SS Mid-Valley
5. (5)
North (Torrance), 11-2, 31.6, SS Northwest
6. (3)
Nordhoff (Ojai), 12-1, 28.9, SS Northwest
7. (8)
Monrovia, 11-2, 27.9, SS Mid-Valley
8. (NR)
Rim of the World (Lake Arrowhead), 11-2, 27.9, SS East Valley
9. (NR)
Garden Grove, 11-2, 25.8, SS Southern
10. (NR)
Corona del Mar (Newport Beach), 11-2, 25.4, SS Southern
Notes: It's hard to imagine the St. Augustine-Madison winner not getting a regional bid. The winner of the Mid-Valley Division championship game, either Paraclete or Monrovia, would have a good shot at a bid as well, but Wasco of the Central Section could finish undefeated. Will the committee turn down an undefeated squad over teams with one loss? It's happened before.
North Division III
Marin Catholic had to fight hard to get by Cardinal Newman, and will face El Cerrito for a likely spot in the Regional Bowl Games.

2. (2) Sutter, 13-0, 40.3, NS D-II champion3. (5)

7. (NR)
Menlo (Atherton), 10-2, 24.0, CCS D-IV
8. (NR)
Justin-Siena (Napa), 10-2, 23.5, NCS D-IV
9. (NR)
Aptos, 10-2, 19.0, CCS D-III
10. (NR)
San Marin (Novato), 7-6, 11.9, NCS D-IV
Notes: It's hard to believe the committee would pass over an undefeated Sutter team, considering it has a win over the Northern Section Division I champion Enterprise. The North Coast Section Division III winner also looks like a sure thing. The wild card here is Central Catholic of Modesto. If the Raiders win and the committee selects them for a Division IV regional berth, look for Sutter and the winner of Marin Catholic-El Cerrito. It gets messy if the committee chooses Central Catholic to go Division III.
South Division IV
Ontario Christian keeps finding reasons to celebrate. A win over Rim of the World could be a catapult to a Regional Bowl Game.
1. (2)
Ontario Christian, 13-0, 24.7, SS East Valley
2. (4)
Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach), 9-3, 22.0, SDS D-V
3. (5)
Mission Prep (San Luis Obispo), 11-1, 27.6, SS Northeast
4. (6)
Rio Hondo Prep (Arcadia), 11-1, 19.3, SS Northeast
5. (7)
Bakersfield Christian, 10-2, 19.7, CS D-IV
6. (8)
Parker (San Diego), 8-4, 14.4, SDS D-V
Notes: The good news is that the South Division IV will have at least two qualifiers. The Southern Section Northeast and the San Diego Division V playoffs both include two teams that would qualify for the Division IV regional. Look for the winners of those two games to face off in the regional. However, Ontario Christian and Bakersfield Christian both have a shot, but they each must defeat a school with a larger enrollment.

(7) Willows, 9-4, 4.5, NS D-III champion7. (9) Brookside Christian (Stockton), 10-2, 3.8, SJS D-VI championNotes: If Central Catholic wins and does not move up to Division III, it's the easy choice here. Look for the committee to give McClymonds a shot since the Oakland Section has never had a qualifier. However, Ferndale's long winning tradition could also play a factor.
