Clewiston added to the longest winning streak in 4A District 6 this week by beating Space Coast, 63-21. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Tigers.
Clewiston moved up to 112 from 173 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Pete Walker's team climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Vipers 63-21.
The Tigers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Davis Witt threw for 165 yards and Daion Banks had 60 yards receiving. On the ground Derry West contributed 90 yards. Lenorris Gaines helped Clewiston's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 50 yards.
Witt put up the best numbers in passing as Clewiston defeated Space Coast. Witt's favorite target this week was Banks, who caught 4 passes for 60 yards.
The Tigers' Witt and Gaines led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Witt has thrown for 1,508 yards this season, while Gaines has 26 catches for 694 yards. Danny Robinson from LaBelle leads the league in rushing with 1,510 yards.
The Cowboys fell to Cocoa 70-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Robinson was a bright spot for LaBelle, as he ran for 56 yards in the loss.
