When Robert Griffin III won the Heisman Trophy award on Saturday night, it signified a major milestone for Baylor's football program.
It also gave Baylor head coach Art Briles some serious ammunition when he hits the recruiting trail.

The Bears are zeroed in on a recruit who boasts a comparable skill set to RGIII:
Whitewright (Texas) junior
Tyrone Swoopes.
Swoopes is a 6-foot-5, 220-pound junior who also has
drawn comparisons to Cam Newton. He totaled 44 touchdowns and more than 3,500 total yards, at times single-handedly taking over games for Whitewright.
According to Whitewright head coach Jack Wylie, Baylor has been working overtime in its recruiting effort to land Swoopes, one of the nation's top juniors.
"Baylor is doing a really good job of recruiting him right now," Wylie said, "probably the best out of anyone."
A unique mix of schools will provide daunting competition to Baylor. According to Wylie, Texas, Stanford, Notre Dame and Alabama comprise a huge list of suitors for Swoopes.
It does not appear that Swoopes has a timetable for any decision. Wylie expects Swoopes will take some unofficial visits this summer.
Swoopes is currently suiting up for Whitewright's basketball team, where he
averages 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists per game.
