Spring had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Alief Elsik 47-6. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Spring are ranked far ahead of Alief Elsik in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Spring's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Alief Elsik couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21-0 heading into the break. The offense for Spring continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 26 points. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Spring will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Cypress Woods at Leonard George Stadium at 7:00 PM. Alief Elsik will look to defend their home turf next week against Oak Ridge at 7:00 PM.
