Special teams carried
Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, Calif.) to a 58-14 victory over Temecula Valley (Temecula, Calif.) on Saturday as the return units contributed two touchdowns. The Broncos's special teams scored on a kick return and a punt return.

Nick Stevens touchdown pass to
Colin Baker with 2:00 remaining in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
Stevens played well for VM in the victory. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
Derrick Hooks played well for the Golden Bears. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown. He has now scored two touchdowns on the season.
The Murrieta school came into the game allowing 12.8 points per game. Temecula Valley's 14 points were well below its season average of 32.6 per game.
The Broncos also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 41-3.
Temecula Valley (1-5) will play a Southwestern game against Chaparral next week, while Vista Murrieta (6-0) will take on Great Oak also in a Southwestern game.
