On Saturday High Point take on Crossland at 2:00 PM. High Point is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
High Point had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. Last week, they were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 16-20 to Frederick.
Meanwhile, Crossland might have drawn first blood against La Plata, but it was La Plata who got the last laugh. Crossland were given a punishing 6-48 defeat at the hands of La Plata. Crossland were down by 6-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
