If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Big Bear. On Thursday they will take on Silver Valley at 7:00 PM. Big Bear are coming into the game hot, having won three in a row.
Two weeks ago, Big Bear put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Riverside Prep 42-0. No one put up better numbers for Big Bear than junior Paul Domingue, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns. Domingue has been a consistent playmaker for Big Bear as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Silver Valley have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Excelsior Charter by a score of 33-26 last Friday. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (27) and coasted on those for the victory.
Big Bear took their matchup against Silver Valley the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 55-21 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Big Bear since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
