Video: Dylan Moses - Ultimate Highlights
See the five-star IMG Academy linebacker in action.IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and football coach Kevin Wright just released the team's 2016 schedule. And like everything else about the fourth-year program, everyone is taking notice.
The Ascenders, who boast 11 of the top 200 seniors in the country according to the
247Sports Composite rankings, will travel and host many of the top programs in the country in a rigorous 12-game schedule. Eight of the games are scheduled away from home and seven of the opponents are from outside Florida.
Among the powers considered for Top 25 preseason honors are
Grayson (Loganville, Ga.),
Centennial (Corona, Calif.),
Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) and
Long Beach Poly (Calif.). Both of the California foes will be away games for IMG.
Because IMG is not a part of the Florida High School Athletic Association and not eligible for postseason play, it can schedule more than 10 regular-season games. The Ascenders (9-0) finished seventh in the final Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. Click on their schedule below to access previews of each game.
The 2016 Ascenders will be led by the nation's No. 2 recruit,
Dylan Moses,
a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker.
Baylor has already secured the passing combination of quarterback
Kellen Mond (No. 118) to
Jhamon Ausbon (No. 64). Ohio State has gained commitments from safety
Isaiah Pryor (No. 38) and cornerback
Marcus Williamson (No. 95).
IMG, which lands players from throughout the country, made
national news
last month when the University of Tennessee made scholarship offers to
20 different Ascenders in a single day.
