In what's become a running theme this season, the Lapwai Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 99-47 victory over Clearwater Valley at home. Winning may never get old, but Lapwai sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Lapwai had a senior duo take command as Kase Wynott dropped a double-double on 31 points and 14 rebounds and Ahlius Yearout scored 25 points along with seven assists. Wynott is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Christopher Bohnee was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five assists and two steals.
Lapwai pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41 points. As for Clearwater Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lapwai will take on Logos at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clearwater Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Troy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Troy is ranked 94th, while Clearwater Valley is ranked 85th).
