Nevada Union (Grass Valley, Calif.) 29-28 on Saturday.

The Miners' Cota was the standout player for his team. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to four on the year.
Deaundre Terrell was the top performer for Pleasant Grove. The junior quarterback threw four touchdowns.
The defeat comes as a step back for Nevada Union, which notched a 37-7 victory over Grant in its previous outing. The win was a nice bounce back for PG, which lost to Lincoln last week, 34-27. The loss snapped Nevada Union's 2-game winning streak.
Pleasant Grove (2-1) goes up against Inderkum in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Nevada Union (2-1) locks horns with Chico also in a non-conference game.
