Young Men's Leadership Academy got off to a good start with a 27-point offensive effort in the first half. That gave them a 27 - 20 advantage at the half. In the second half, though, the defense allowed 20 points and gave up the advantage when it counted most.
Despite Young Men's Leadership Academy's defeat, the squad still enjoyed a top-notch performance from senior Draylon Roberson, who earned three touchdowns and 161 yards rushing the ball. In addition, Roberson has now posted four consecutive games with over 100 yards rushing.
Young Men's Leadership Academy's record fell to 3-5 after the loss. South Hills kept its perfect season alive and rose to 8-0.
The two teams have their sights set on raising those records in their upcoming games. Young Men's Leadership Academy will face off against North Side Friday at 7:30 PM. As for South Hills, it will square off against Southwest this Friday at 7:30 PM.
