Adams Central added to the longest winning streak in C1 District 7 this week by beating Central City, 54-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
St. Paul lost to Broken Bow 59-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Adams Central's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dylan Steinkruger threw for 77 and 1 touchdown and Derek Lonowski had 55 yards receiving. On the ground Buzz Niederklein contributed 171 yards. Ben Kiolbasa helped Adams Central's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 22 yards.

Grand Island Central Catholic's Alex Allen and Jack Tynan have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Allen has thrown for 747 yards this season, while Tynan has 10 catches for 210 yards. Adams Central's Niederklein leads the league in rushing yards with 933.
The Patriots' Niederklein is a mere 67 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Niederklein has rushed for 933 yards on 119 carries so far this year.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Crusaders and Troy Huebert's team face off next week.
An important game coming up in C1 District 7 this week will be when Grand Island Central Catholic takes on the Bison. Charlie Shoemaker's team is currently in first, while Central City is in fourth.
