West Linn and Tigard face off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine whose season will come to a close. Each team will be battling to keep its win streak alive, with Tigard having won three in a row and West Linn four.
West Linn has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling seven) after its most recent game. It put the hurt on McNary last week with a conclusive 41 - 6 victory. Two standouts for West Linn were junior Ethan Long and junior Dawson Jolley; the former threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns while the latter earned one touchdown and 130 yards rushing the ball. This sound performance was nothing new for Long, who has been a rock for West Linn in the past five games. Senior Qawi Ntsasa was in the mix too, providing West Linn with two touchdowns. Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tigard beat Barlow 42 - 35 two weeks ago.
Their wins bumped Tigard and West Linn up to an identical 9-2. It should be a fierce showdown as West Linn is 4th in the MaxPreps state rankings and Tigard is 3rd. Check back on MaxPreps to find out who wants it more.
