No. 1 Mater Dei (CA) got its sixth win over a MaxPreps Top 25 opponent with a 27-7 victory against No. 7 Servite (CA) in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship. The Monarchs are one win away from going wire-to-wire as the top-ranked team in the country and will face Serra (San Mateo) in the CIF Open Division championship on Dec. 11.
