Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Geraldine Bulldogs (Geraldine, AL) and the visiting Section Lions (Section, AL), saw Geraldine's basketball squad knock off Section by a count of 61-50.

With the victory, Geraldine upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Brindlee Mountain (Guntersville, AL) to play the Lions in a 3A Area 13 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 7-9.

Next up, the Lions play the Asbury Rams (Albertville, AL) in a 2A Area 15 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Section will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 66-49 non-league loss to New Hope (New Hope, AL).
