Jackson Aggies (Jackson, AL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Leroy Bears (Leroy, AL), 58-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jackson upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Aggies travel to Hillcrest (Evergreen, AL) to battle the Jaguars in a 4A Area 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Hillcrest won 53-45 in their recent league challenge against Monroe County (Monroeville, AL)

Next up, the Bears battle the Choctaw County Tigers (Butler, AL) in a 2A Area 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Leroy will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 78-56 non-league loss to Sumter County (York, AL).
