Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Waldron Bulldogs (Waldron, AR), 49-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Ashdown upgrades its record to 14-8 on the season. The Panthers host Oak Grove (North Little Rock, AR) to play the Hornets in a 4A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, February 10. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 15-10. Oak Grove won 65-47 in their recent league bout against Mena (Mena, AR)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the De Queen Leopards (De Queen, AR) in a 4A Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, February 10. Waldron will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Leopards go into the bout with a 16-7 record after their 61-47 league win over Malvern (Malvern, AR).
