Eli Griffith has been named player of the year. "CONGRATULATIONS to Eli Griffith for being named the 2021-22 basketball player of the year at RTHS. Eli has truly been a joy to coach for four years and is another example of the statement "HARD WORK PAYS OFF". Eli came in as a freshman and made the practice team but continued to put in work in the preseason and because of that work he was elevated to the varsity, Sophomore year he was a major contributor while still learning the game. Junior year Eli became a full time starter a was named Honorable Mention for All-Conference. SENIOR YEAR, Eli was a constant throughout the season, and in conference play he was the leader in five (scoring, reb, ft%, blks, and dbl-dbls) of the top 10 statistics tracked (and is #2,#3, in three of the reaming 5 stats ). Because of these stats Eli Griffith was named CO-PLAYER OF THE YEAR in the Super 6 Conference, Congrats Eli, HARD WORK DOES PAY OFF!"
