Emily Meidel has been named player of the year. "Emily led our team in kills with 357 for the 2019 season, she also holds the BHRA all-time career record for kills with 896; she also led in digs with 282 and is also the BHRA all-time career record holder with 940 digs; Emily had 140 solo blocks this season and accumulated 451 blocks in her career and she had 32 aces this season and had a career ace total of 101. Emily has been a 4-year varsity starter and named MVP the last two seasons. Emily has also been awarded All Vermilion County and All Vermilion Valley Conference honors for the last three seasons. Emily just received the prestigious John Dixon Vermilion County Individual Sportsmanship Award for Volleyball as well. Emily is a great all-around player and will undoubtedly see some All State honors from Illinois as well."
