Marybeth Long has been named player of the year. "Mary Beth Long she had a dominate senior season and led our team to the 2A State Championship. Her stats were out of sight with 804 kills, 100 aces, 317 digs, 137 blocks, and 470 serves points. She will be in the top 10 in the state record books for most kills in a career and top 13 kills in a season. As impressive as her stats were they don't touch her leadership, effort and selflessness to lay out and dive all over the floor. Her will to win will be what we miss the most. She refused to lose and led her team to a championship. Her hustle was second to none. Every team we played had to defend the whole court when she hit. She hit with power, and accuracy. She is an outstanding young lady with a humble heart but when she walks across the lines she is a fierce competitor. It was a joy coaching her and watching her perform. "
