Mason Hiemstra has been named player of the year. "Mason led our team on and off the court. Besides leading our team in scoring, assists and steals, Mason led by example in practice. He taught the younger players what commitment and dedication looks like on a daily basis. Mason developed relationships with his teammates that allowed him to help them improve as well. When our team needed a play to be made, Mason made the play. The best compliment a coach can give a player is that he was easy to play with and hard to play against. That describes Mason quite well. Congratulations Mason on being named the Max Preps player of the year for Alliance boys basketball for 2018-19! "
