In Wednesday's league outing, the Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ) basketball squad felled the host Coolidge Bears (Coolidge, AZ), by a margin of 73-55.

The Prospectors (10-13) will now prepare for their outing against American Leadership Academy (Queen Creek, AZ). The Patriots go into the IV Section V outing with a 20-5 record. In their last outing, American Leadership Academy thwarted Florence (Florence, AZ), 52-35, in a league outing.

The Bears now sport a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gilbert Classical Academy for a IV Section V match on Friday, January 29. Coolidge will meet a Spartans team coming off a 68-62 league loss to Globe (Globe, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 7-12.
