In Saturday's non-league bout, the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) baseball squad edged the visiting Merced Bears (Merced, CA), by a tally of 12-11.

Next up, the Bulldogs encounter the Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA) in a Westside League bout, on Tuesday, April 14. Gridley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the bout with a 13-7 record after their 8-5 non-league win over Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA).

The Bears (3-15) will now prepare for their bout against Pitman (Turlock, CA). The Pride enter the non-league bout with a 12-4 record. In their last bout, Pitman was nudged by Millikan (Long Beach, CA), 21-0, in a non-league bout.
