The Vacaville Bulldogs baseball team scored 6 points and limited the host Vallejo Apaches to 3 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Benicia (Benicia, CA). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Benicia edged Wood (Vacaville, CA), 4-3, in a non-league match.
The Apaches (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Vintage (Napa, CA). The Crushers go into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Vintage edged Rodriguez (Fairfield, CA), 10-6, in a non-league match.





Kagen Hopkins belted a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning to lead the Vacaville High School baseball team to a 6-3 win at Vallejo Saturday. The Bulldogs fell behind 3-0, but rallied. Spencer Lukehart got Vacaville a run when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Alex DelaCalzada drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth, and Hopkins followed with his blast to left field. Nate Berumen picked up the win with three innings of no-hit relief. Joey Matthews went 2-for-2 for Vacaville. Cody Golden, Jake Andres, Lukehart and C.J. Jacobe also had base hits.
